Well, from your side of the story only it sounds like you ex was a controlling jerk and you should be glad to be rid of him and start off the New Year right. So to that I say CONGRATs!!

The other thing will work itself out too, I'm sure. Remember, it IS only a car. There will be others.

yeah my husband was an abusive jerk for 5 years i left himi n january of 07 and finally was able to start the paperwork.

and yeah hopefully my car is done this week
