HP driving school?

 

My experience @ Bertyl Roos influences my driving even today... 20+ years later.
A friend of mine did the NASCAR one day affair and wasdisappointed overall. That theygot very little track time in and were very limited as to the speeds and "competition they could run.
Adriving school, at least mine, was three days of classes by race expereinced drivers and track time. We had approx 1.5 days of instructional class followed by 1.5 days of driving and guidance. It was great and an experience I'll never forget.
It'll make you a safer and faster driver for the streets too... and your insurance co may recognize it and reduce your rates.
In the mid-'80's it was $600/3 days.I imagine it runs between $800-$1000 today, but worth every penny.

From NYC, Pocono is not that far away, y'know? I don't think Bertyl Roos is still teaching there. his schools never got all that big, but I'm sure somebody is... Bob Bonduraunt Schools comes to mind.

 

the "poke-a-nose" is about 3 or 4 hours away. is that where u took the classes?

How about Watkins Glen? Lime Rock?
I can't think of any other major tracks that might be near you but those, but who knows?

 

never heard of them... only one that i really know and visited is englishtown new jersey. and i think its just a quarter mile strip. with a small track.

 

Whaaatttt? I can understand you not ever hearing ofLime Rock, Ct., but Watkins Glen??

duhhh i know what taht is. the driving school where youg et to learn how to drive the HP sauce truck LMAO. sorry i had to say that in me. but seriously my father for his i think 40th birthday went on this one day thing where they get to drive the crap out of BMW 330i all day and slide around and do a bunch of tricky things at downsview airport. he loved it and maybe i will do that myself... if i get the chance... and the money. as well my birthday is coming up.. well in december.. AND IM GOING TO THE DOMINICAN on december 16th soo boys that means i will be gone for a week.. i know you will all be sad BUT TRY TO KEEP IT TOGETHER . anyway yea my 2 cents. btw richard ive never heard of watkins glen. but im canadian so at least i have an excuse
