I'd say it was damn incredible, since the car was advertised at 18/27...

The Malibu's 3300 without anyone in it, around 3700 on the trip yesterday. Maybe more, I had a nearly full tank...

The computer...lol. I was skeptical at first, but I don't think it was reading optimistic, since I've gotten 32-34MPG quite a few times before.

Actually, Rich, you may be familiar with the roads I was on? PA 222, PA 100? Ring a bell? I was on my way to Reading.

Angry Fouckers!!! Fouckin' thieves!!!

BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR A 3 YR OLD 24hp HUSQVARNA 48" AUTOMATIC RIDING TRACTOR W/POWER ELECTRIC TAKE-OFF. BRIGHT ORANGE!!!!

Some SLIMY SOB stole my 48" riding tractor right out of my yard today!!
They obviously backed right down my driveway, which is about 130' long, went behind the shed and either had a universal key, hot-wired it or simply disabled the trans and pushed it to where they must have had a trailer waiting while we were at work today.
There goes 2 grand I can't afford, but have to afford to replace.

S-O-Bs!!!!

I'm sure they knew we weren't home. And as far as I know no one "saw" anything. We have some land so our neighbor's are not all that close.

I'm not sure about that one yet. We don't have a garage and with no room in the shop I always parked the tractor out behind the shed where it is somewhat protected from prying eyes. I usually cover and bungee the cover over it for weather protection. It's been there since Feb 1, 2006 and no problem... till now.

Entirely possible I would say Vince. It weighed over 700lbs, so if they were pushing it up a ramp would have had to have some serious help. If they had been smart, as with all lawn tractors hot wiring it would not have been that hard.
We could see the tire tracks in the lawn and where they staged it for loading. We're out in the country about 5-6 miles from the nearest town, but the road we're on is moderately busy during much of the day. We figure they stole it early after most people are already at work, including us, and traffic slows down for a bit.
Someone saw and wanted that tractor. They might have even seen me using it Saturday morning, the last time I rode it. It's the only thing they took even though there were other "easy" opportunities including my grill, a walk behind mower and my car ramps, not to mention what's in my wife's garden shed which until now she left unlocked. I've warned her about locking that before, not that it would be that hard to get into anyway with a pry bar.
I've literally had nightmares about having my shop broken in to. I've been buying/collecting tools since I was about 12 yrs old. That's +/-40 yrs people. Can you imagine trying to replace all those w/like items today?
Well, you know what they say, if someone wants to steal something there is always a way. Nothing is secure in this world and with more desperate people out there than ever before, little regard for personal property too.

3 weeks ago on Easter Sunday, someone cut through a HD old style commercial chain link fence right behind my Wareroom at work to steal a charcoal grill. $2k-$3k damage to the fence for a $200 grill. They knew exactly what they wanted and had bolt cutters at the ready to cut the fencing. That, or a torch/plasma cutter are the only things that would've cut that wire. Sad thing is, we have roving security on site and they didn't see a thing. Imagine.

We lost a big tree in a storm 2 days ago and I was gonna use the tractor today (off from work) to tie off some of the bigger branches for safe cutting.
'Guess not.
