random thread to talk about whatever
hey all. i know i havent been around much at all lately. im now located in chicago.
i recently advanced my ignition timing and today i installed the cp-e rear engine mount along with street unit transmission and cylinder head engine mounts in my 3 wagon. the car has absolutely no more wheel hop and produces a killer sound that puts a smile on my face...kinda sounds like ive a supercharger (gear whine). the vibrations in the cabin and steering wheel are not nearly as severe as i anticipated from the reviews of aftermarket mounts, but are still noticeable. the car seems to have a lot more get up and go and im very happy with the upgrades i made. i cant wait for auto-x season to begin!
cp-e rear motor mount and su side mounts get two thumbs up

Funny....Im sitting in a hotel just south of Chicago right now (Hammond, IN).
It's too damn cold outside. High of -2F tomorrow....that's right, a HIGH of -2F (-19C for our Canadian friends)

you're right! it is COLD! there is a low of -7F tonight. tomorrow, the high here is forecasted to be -7F and the low to be -11F. i don't know what i would do without my long johns.
i never noticed until recently that the number gap between fahrenheit units and celcius units narrows down the further the temperature drops into the negative number scale. fahrenheit and celcius units are equal at -40 degrees C and F. from then on, further into the negative scale, equivalent temperatures are represented by fahrenheit being the lesser value in comparison with celcius. i.e. 32F = 0C, -40F = -40C, -58F = -50C. just a small observation i made that surprised me...thought that i'd share.

Ahhh...they lowered the high then...I was quoting The Weather Channel this morning...been here all week.
Degrees C = (Degrees F - 32)*(5/9)
Degrees F = ((Degrees C * (9/5)) + 32
I was wearing long johns under my dockers today. I drive back to Detroit tomorrow so I'm hoping the lake effect snow stops falling along I-94 so that it's a 4-5 hour drive instead of a 7-8 hour drive.

yea you all can bite me -40C in ontario, and just for the record what is with all the doorknobs in the last week coming onto this forum. its pissing me off and im getting mad at fighting with them lol
Oh hell yeah it's still cold!! Definitely not as bad as you, but it's cold enough for me...I have like 0% body fat to keep me warm in the winter...I wish I did though...it sucks. I have to layer up even for just going to work and sittin in the service laneee[:@]
