random thread to talk about whatever
So I was wondering why my car felt even more slushy than usual. Let's take a loot at my PSI (front left to rear left, clockwise): 24, 23, 25, 25. That's just terrible. I stopped at Hess (FREE AIR! Unlike the nearby Mobil) and the new numbers are: 35, 35, 30, 30. IIRC, this should be a good starting point (according to what Richard told me).
The 10PSI really makes a difference in steering response. It's not exactly going to feel like a 3, but the control feels a hell of a lot better now (haven't gotten twisty roads to really test it yet). And maybe it's me, but my ride feels stiffer as well? Not sure if that's in my head or not.

youd be amazed. my snow tires had no airs and they were horrible. i filled them up and omg i felt as if i coudl go over 10 ft rocks lol. not really but you know what i mean
Try having all Toyo Proxes4(came on it when I bought it, I HATE them, not just in the snow) in the winter! Talk about no grip. I have two new in the front, that I'm not necessarily happy with either(Fuzion and Nankang, all I could afford at the time, 2 different times...potholes[:@])...but the Toyo's still in the back.
Hah...I spent like 120 paying for a new tire that got slashed (by who, I do not know) at a McDonalds in Georgia, on my way back from Florida. It was midnight, I had to pull off the highway into a gas station, and changed my tire to the spare...which made it the whole 700 mile drive back to Michigan! I didn't think I would make it, and it was a loooooooong drive at 55-60mph the entire way, let me tell you. I had nothing but bad luck with the 6 like a month after I bought it...Because then I hit a MONSTER of a pothole driving my dad to work like 2 weeks later...Had to replace another f***ing tire!
yea but at least it was for your own car. THIS WAS FOR A DAMN RENTAL CAR LOL. i was soo pissed. hmmm gotta love ******** that rip your tire apart.
