It seems that Ford is poised to sell up to 20% of its stake in Mazda. India's Tata Motors may be a potential buyer (they bought Jauar and Rangerover) and Mazda could also buy back some of its shares. If this sale does happen, I wonder what that would mean for futur Mazda (and Ford) models?

Hmmmm? Well, it"s no secret that the Am Auto makers have been having financial problems for some time now, but I think Mazdas time has come and could be a real alternative in the auto marketplace.I think it would be a mistake to sell out to an Indian co. But then I don"t know anything about that co either.
It seems though that the Indians are taking over the world too, at least the rich & powerful ones. Perhaps their time has come??
Anybody know any good Indian made cars?

 

Tata now owns Jaguar and Land Rover. I hadn't heard anything about Mazda stake being sold. I don't know if I believe it, there area ton of shared platforms between Ford/Mazda (Mazda2/Fiesta, Mazda3/Euro Focus/Volvo S40, Mazda6/Fusion/Milan/MKZ, etc.)

 

With a name like Tata they better make good cars, or at least big ones that taste good!!
