You're going to bash the car and the brand, yet you still expect people to help you?

Well bro...I'm not bashing anything,if you think so thats your problem..i've saw on your profile that you are a bitt young so i can understand that you feel like that towards me..I know that the brand is good but over here the agent network make me feel like i do..for instance..the gasketset had to be returned 4 times because of people not doing the job as they should be...ordering parts for a 1997 model insteed of a 2002 model..its a struggle to get parts for the car and when you actualy receive it you pay an arm and a leg for the stuff..the information for the car on the net is not even worth downloading..i can tell you lot of other stuff but i will leave it there..And that my dear young friend is just criticism thats all and i take that everyday because i drive a bmw,i just laugh at people who say i think i'm beter...i'm not, taste are not the same and we all learn to take criticism, and as i've said your still young and one day you will learn to do so mate..

Let's take this apart:

-Yes, I'm young, likely younger than you. So what? Obviously age doesn't grant writing ability...

-Ordering the wrong parts for a car and then installing (when the correct ones finally come) incorrectly is not the fault of the Protege or Mazda. It's the fault of the imbecile with the wrench.

-It's not worth downloading the info? Well then, if you're going to think like that, then get rid of the car.

-Why did you bring up the superiority image? I didn't. However, you have showed that you think like a lot of BMW drivers. Wonder if you set off Clarkson's "cockometer."

Roll you eyes at yourself. Just because I'm young doesn't mean I have my head up my *** like you.

Lighten up Francis.

I believe VB's point is that you started your thread with "First of all, I'm not a Mazda fan", then proceed to ask for help. Not a great way to win friends and influence people on a Mazda enthusiast website.

Had you simply left that first part off of your initial posting, I'm sure the response would have been different.

With the internet being what it is today, I find it hard to believe that any parts are really that difficult to get if you do a little research before you order. (To avoid parts mix-ups, I make it a habit of having the part # of the part that I need, not just a description.)

And if the information available on the internet is so worthless, why are you asking for help here again? I guess the information available on the internet must be a step above that which is available in South America.

I'm not going to even bother getting arrgravated with this idiot anymore, Scott. He thinks he knows everything; apparently he's got my life pinned to the tee (or so he thinks).

If I were a mod, I'd ban your ignorant ***. That's the end of it.

I saw this last night and just knew it would get out of hand fast.
As SST said, starting a new relationship here, or anywhere saying you dislike the subject at hand is not the way to win friends. On the other hand, I understand that Mazdas are not your thing, but being it's your gf's car you are expected come up with some solutions.

That said, let's just get back to normal and see if anybody has any ideas what might be wrong with his gf's car and help him out, OK? That's one of the reasons we are here.

BTW Scott, seen Stripes recently?
The sign on my dust pan at works says, Touch my stuff and I kill you!!

No matter how hard anyone tries to convince me that air cooled Volkswagens are easy to work on, you can't prove it by me. Simply engineered, yes, but I find it hard to get anything right on them by my hand.
My wife had a '72 Beetle when I met her that she absolutely loved and I tried my best to straighten it out for her, even though my heart was not in it. So I can understand your frustration w/Mazdas.
