Oy vey; they say that bad things happen in "threes", I surely hope not. I'm pulling for your wife as well. Keep us posted on her progress.

For some reason I was looking at Dale's post and typed Dale instead of Scott.

Just got back from the hospital. Nicole went into surgery at 8:30 and was out by 10:00. She apparently didn't need that gall bladder anyway. Procedure went well and she's resting comfortably still pretty knocked out by the meds. They say she should be able to come home this afternoon (seeing as how it's already Tuesday.) once she can stand on her own, go to the bathroom and keep solid food down.

The bitch of this is that gall bladder issues are usually caused by high-fat/high-oil diets. My wife eats organic everything and very low fat. I think the preservatives in those twinkies I eat are preserving my organs. Screw that organic crap.

Thanks for the concern guys.

Good to hear, Scott.
At least it didn't rupture. I have known a few that were hospitalized for weeks cleaning up that mess. A dangerous situation too.
Funny how our own bodies have the ability to poison us, isn't it?

So you will be Mr. Mom for a while, huh? Since there didn't seem to be any complications I'm sure she will be back on her feet rather quickly though.

And Dale, are you trying to out do Tim Taylor in hospital visits?

What turned out to be the problem? Kidney's are another bad thing to have to mess with.
This is not the same girlfriend that has epilepsy though, is it?

Now, tell me again why the human body is such a wonderful, self-healing machine? If that were the case, we wouldn't need all these broken health care systems we have in this world.
