Edit #2: Hmmm, well the colon/close-paren worked for a smiley emoticon, I wonder what else works...

 

Now that I found the "new posts" button....I like it. (That's how I typically search the forum rather than going through the individual sections....)

I also like how it now brings up the threads rather than the individual posts.

Oh yeah, awesome to be able to type normally again.

 

I'm kinda partial to the "Today's Posts" link in the pull-down "Quick Links" menu. That said, I'm thinking that they need to do a little work on said menu as the individual options are unreadable until you mouse over them. FWIW, the menu reads as follows:
