I would personally go with Injen, but since there is none my second choice would be the Magnaflow over HKS just because of price. Anyways, over at RPM, HKS is $520 and magnaflow is like $4 something (free shipping too). Just thought i'd let ya know if you wanted to save some more $.

i found a guy over at TorontoMazda3 selling the magnaflow for $445 + taxes....
and it still comes with the lifetime warranty and a invoice.
so that means i will be able to afford an intake sooner

Good luck. Don't expect huge gains. Too many people get dissapointed to find that upgrading the exhaust adds like 3 to 8 horsepower and probably can't be felt in-car. Noticable gains will probably be in your head, and be due to you stepping on the throttle more to hear her pur. She'll sound sweet though!

ya, im not so worried about the horsepower gains.
my car looks sweet right now, so now it needs to sound sweet.

and i think the magnaflow catback adds 6 hp or so.... and 6 lb ft of torque....

I'll say it again... for a deep throaty sound the best two that familiar w/are the Vibrant and the Borla. This is not only myopinion but the opinions expressed by the guys on the msproto/mazda3 (exhaust sights and sounds threads) forums as well.
As most of you know (or can read) I have the Vib,which fits in your price catagory, and I love it.An easy bolt TOGETHER system (no clamps to loosen or blow apart) with a nice low tone and it's not so loud that you can't hear yourself think either. No CEL's EVER. T-304 SS throughout and a high-flow cat are part of the system. Neither Magnaflow, nor HKS include that. In fact, I don't think anybody else includes the cat.
It took me 1.5 hours in my driveway (and some blood from that VERY sharp heat shield,) including time to search for some hardware I was missing. About an hour w/o the hardware search... less if I had already done one and didn't have to think about how to go about it.
