The Fail Thread

2 Attachment(s)
What I saw at work today inspired me to create our very own fail thread, full of stories and pictures of cars that simply...fail. Let me give two example, the former a picture of a car on my block:

Attachment 6294

And the latter a picture I took today of my boss's Mustang (V6 auto); mind you, he took $2000 of our profits to do this...:

Attachment 6295

I died laughing after he pulled away. He thinks it looks good...also, you can't see it in that picture, but it reads "Commander Cosentino" across the windshield. Sad.

vlstellato 06-14-2009 06:25 PM

Somebody should do your boss a favor and peel that UGLY sticker off! POOR MUSTANG

VB 06-14-2009 07:09 PM

Yeah, but at least the Malibu's in the background. :D

sstlaure 06-14-2009 11:25 PM

It's not really a Mustang without a V8. That's just awful.

All I can say is that he's a scientologist. That should answer any questions about his mental state.

I saw the perfect FAIL for this thread today outside of work. Unfortunately I did not have a camera, so try to picture this.
A first gen Saturn coupe, dark green with reverse racing stripes on the hood. I'm sure you have all seen Saturn's in that deep jade green color, right?
What do I mean by that you ask?
Three wide strips of contact paper in a med-blue marble (very pale blue, almost white background) one in the middle, and one each on the sides of the hood allowing the the factory green to appear as if the hood (only the hood) had been striped.
Add to that, the entire roof was done in this same marbled/blue pattern. I didn't look at the back of the car to see what was done there.... probably more of the same.
Can you picture that?

Kemick10 06-16-2009 02:33 PM

i see a ton of this kind of stuff haha! its what happens when you live in the northern part of mexico... (so cal)

VB 06-16-2009 10:09 PM

I passed by a red Chrysler 300C with the license plate "J STALIN."

Kemick10 06-16-2009 10:28 PM

haha that ones kinda funny! here:

this one is courtesy of my sister!

FAIL.
NE one see the problem? haha

sstlaure 06-16-2009 11:23 PM

Clearly loaded the wrong way on the roll. It should come over the top.

VB 06-17-2009 11:10 AM

My sister and mother do the same thing all the time. They also turn the knob on the front door the incorrect way, believing they've locked it. Then they yell when I turn it the proper way. Gotta love female stubbornness...I've demonstrated that my way is correct several times.

cl8ton 06-17-2009 11:44 AM

"Clearly loaded the wrong way on the roll. It should come over the top."

Not only that... the toilet seat is down!!
Have you not trained them to put the seat up when they are done?

VB 06-17-2009 12:05 PM

LOL @ Cl8ton. I live in a house with two women, so I learned very early on to put the seat back down.

Me to.... but you gotta live dangerously once in a while!

vlstellato 06-20-2009 12:24 PM

There is a guy that lives near my work place and he has a 2004 ZX2 Ford Escort with booster rockets molded into the rear bumper. The trunk has a rocket engine and a air fin attached to it. I have a pic but can't figure out how to upload it from photobucket and attach it to this post.

vince i had no idea you were a fullmetal alchemist fan haha i like that show but the end was depressing as hell.

Anyway i have a slew of fail cars but none i have seen in real life so i feel its pointless for me to upload a crap load of pics that anyone can find, if anyone thinks im wrong on that let me know and ill dock the failboat and start unloading some *ahem* art

vlstellato 06-20-2009 10:26 PM

VB 06-21-2009 09:51 PM

Tracker 06-21-2009 11:26 PM

Kemick10 06-22-2009 05:08 PM

haha oh my god!!! that wins... i have a guy who works at what i do the drives an interpred with a yoda seat belted to his back right seat!!! haha and yah my damn sister... thing that pisses me off even more is the fact that most of the time she just leaves the cardboard on the roller and the new roll on the counter

Tracker 06-23-2009 12:44 AM

im assuming thats you ;)

Siber Express 06-23-2009 04:31 AM

People with pets (especially cats) have learned when you put the toilet paper on backward they can't unroll it, but the long tail on that roll just gave them a new toy so It is still a fail.

Kemick10 06-26-2009 04:12 PM

haha nope thats not me... thats my buddy with the 615rhp 03 cobra... decided the cobra wasnt good enough,... and had a good time with my 4runner!

Silly Boy. The picture does say
File Photo
Ooooo! There's blood on that air bag though... and it came from an auto-tragic!!! (BLAHHHH!)
They took pictures of the rest of the car, why would they use a file photo for the cyl head??
