CCV Delete Discussion – Is It Worth the Upgrade?
Hello everyone.
I'm considering doing a CCV delete on my vehicle and want to understand the pros and cons before proceeding. Has anyone here tried this modification, and what were the long-term effects on engine performance and reliability?
I’ve read mixed opinions online, and I’d appreciate real-world feedback, especially regarding CCV delete from SuncentAuto kits. Are they worth it for daily driving or performance use? Are there common issues like oil leaks, increased crankcase pressure, or emissions concerns?
Looking forward to your advice and experiences.

I see that you are USA based....
I realize that some restrictions are changing regarding emissions, but these are basically to the auto manufactures and not necessarily go to include vehicles already registered and or licensed on the road. You may want to check with your states current Emission requirement that are required every other year or however your states require it?
The first thought that comes to mind is WAIT until the actual federal laws charge regarding removing, modifying any emissions system part or system if you are going to still license it and drive on the roads and highways. Currently it is still a felony to remove some emission parts like an example a CAT or spark arrestor on a motorcycle or any off road vehcle and drive or ride it on or in federal lands. This means technically if you were you go to Yosemite national park and the only way to get there is a section of highway under federal l protection and you removed your CAT your vehicle could and likely would be impounded and at best you would receive a misdemeanor citation alone with vehcle code violation.
As for results I suggest finding a forum thread on a forum that members have had done a before and after chassis Dyno test run and even better are those that had their ECU performance calibrated after doing the modification you are thinking about doing yourself. While many parts are offered that claim to improve power seldom do they mention that to totally take advantage of any add on part of a OBDII or CANbus operating system you really need to have an ECU program and find an experienced and qualified ECU/EFI Performance calibrator to tailor a few custom upload files your ECU.
The only other way is if a person has an accelerometer that can, ensure some aspect of vehicle operation that can be real work tried and see the actual results.
See Auto Meter D-pic.
Also measuring such things as the EGT and EGA .
Basically, if you don't read anyone posting these kinds of results and information it all seat of the pants and butt Dyno information.
But if you decide to try it I would love to follow your thread and information and pictures. I am always for experimenting ....

First understand why cars have a CCV system. Remember those ugly black lines down the middle of busy roads caused by the fumes coming out of the road drought vent pipe. The only advantage is if the engine is tuned without crankcase fumes entering the intake it can produce more power by increasing the timing. Oil reduces the fuels octane level. A friend of mine who specializes in LS tuning gets around 10kw more by venting the crank fumes elsewhere but on a std Mazda I see nothing to gain except possible oil leaks and a big fine if you get caught.
