Battery light problem
Hello, I’m having problems with my battery light. My alternator is running 100 amps and my battery is at 100%. My car is a 2002 Mazda Tribute. I’ve also replaced my alternator plug. I don’t know what else it could be. I have an airbag problem and some people are telling me that that could turn my light on, but I’m not sure. Anyone having the same problem ? Everything’s working fine but my light is still on. What electrical problem could this be?
1) Load test the battery. Do not assume any condition of the battery without testing using a Battery Load testing device.
2) Using a good quality scan tool connect to OBDII connector and get the DTC that "will" be there if the battery light is on.
Not sure how you concluded that the battery is 100% and the generator is 100 amps. What was your method used to conclude these findings?
Then report you results and findings.
The AIR BAG safety system is completely separate from any other electrical system on the vehicle. Reporting having a problem but not describing is not helpful to recomend a plan to diagnosis it own separate problem from the battery light!
