I am an old guy new to forums. My first thread. My daughter and I own a 1985 RX7 that we (I) am restoring (first one) and would like to meet and talk to fellow RX7 owners. car is almost done and have discovered some problems and parts locating but. have enjoyed working on it and teaching daughter to wrench. Hope some of you other long time mazda owner folks will be able to help me. I look forward to talking to Mazda Forum members. Just trying to keep the old RX7's out of the junk yard and on the road. Luv em.
Welcome to the forum!! Father/daughter project, huh? Different, but good job if you can pull it off.
You might want to add just where you are if you wish to meet other members?
I used to love that 1st gen body style.
Be aware, if you aren't already, that they had an unusual wheel bolt pattern. Sorry, but that's one of the few quirks I know about the 1st gens.
I was reminded to tell where I am from and that would be on the East Coast in Delaware. Yes I love teaching my daughter on how to work on her car as she is single and money is sometimes an issue for her so what ever she can learn I'll teach. In Delaware I have found that there are hardly any 1st Gen or 2nd Gen RX7's. Most are sent to junkyards and crushed immediately. Anybody know of any Mazda junkyards out there with 7's?
