I just purchased a Mazda 3 and am picking it up this afternoon. Its black on black manual trans. I like this car! I was driving a 2003 Malibu (boring). But I don't see any Mazda 3s on the road at all! And I feel a little weird now because I get the feeling that Mazda 3 is not exactlly a "commuter car". I'm a 50 year old mother with 2 in college and 1 finishing up high school. Have I started a new demographic group for Mazda? Any other 'baby boomers' or middle aged ladies out there with Mazda 3s?

Yeah, like dentinger said, I never saw Mazda3's ever, until I bought my Speed3. Now, I see regular 3's every day, and I only see the one speed 3 in my area, a True Red Sport model.

 

Well, I'm not female, or from Chicago but I am 50 yrs old...51 in a coupla' months.
Bought mine in '04 and have found it to be the most exciting to drive car I've had in a while. It's reintroduced me to my car guy personality.

well im currently finishing up high school and my car is carbon grey on black interior. im not exactly part of hte baby boomer as im only 18 and if i get a girl pregnant im screwed haha. but welcome to the forum. btw is yours the 4 dr or 5 dr? plus you see a bunch of mazda3's everywhere. in my subdivision alone there has to be at least 12 lol
