Hi,

My name is Noah. I'm from Canada (which I suspect might be of importance as it could relate to specifics concerning my Mazda), and I have a 1997 Mazda Protege 1.8L LX with an automatic transmission. It's currently sitting at my dealership with what they're saying is a problematic Mass Airflow Sensor, and it's going to be expensive beyond belief to get it replaced (about $1500).

I plan on posting more details about my problem in the Protege section of the forum, so if anyone has any knowledge about the MAF Sensor in 97 Proteges (or even about the official price of parts from Mazda Canada) I'd love it if you could take a look at that post, respond to this one, or email me at ndh@shaw.ca
