Up in Utah
Hey, I'm from Tooele, UT which is ~40 miles West of Salt Lake. I bought a 2010 Mazda5 in February 2012. It had like 35,000 when I bought it. I think it was a rental prior to me owning it. It's blue. I got it because I love the looks of the earlier 5s and I had a baby on the way. I don't know how people do baby car seats in cars without sliding doors! They are amazing. I bought it thinking I'd be the primary driver since it was to replace my busted old Civic, but after my wife drove it once she just gave me the keys to her Dodge and kept the keys to the Mazda and that's just how it's been.
I work as a security guard for an outdoor retailer. I go to school too. It's technical school. I'm studying to be a mechanic. A heavy duty diesel mechanic, but as I'm learning I'm realizing that I could and should be doing these things for my own cars as well! I've never even done an oil change on the Mazda5. I went to do it when I first bought it and was annoyed that there was no easy point to jack the whole front end up at once. It was also the first time I'd seen or heard of a cartridge style oil filter. I've taken it to the dealer ever since, that's changing starting now though. I'm looking forward to talking with you guys and learning what there is to learn about my car etc.
