Default Timing for 07 cx7

I have a 2007 mazda cx7 and I just replaced the head on it and I need it or I need to get it set in time. Can anyone help with any info on how to do this and how long it will take to do. When I got it back together and turned it over it sounded like the starter wasn't in gaging so I changed starter and still sounded the same and then I was told it wasn't set in time. All help needed and thanks in advance.

Setting the chain timing involves locking the camshaft and crankshaft with service tools.

Setting the timing is usually an in depth job. So plan for at least an hour or a few as it might take a bit of manipulating to get it right.

I was able to find this thread. Has some basic info to get you started.
