Default Question regarding 2011 Mazda 3 AUX port repair

About a year ago my Auxiliary port stopped working properly. The speakers on the right side won't work when my iPod is plugged in, but they work fine when using the radio or bluetooth. At first I thought it was the cable, but after trying multiple new AUX cords, I figured it was a wiring issue. One day I decided to clean under the cupholders/Ebrake, and when I had everything removed I noticed the AUX port wiring. There was the bundle of wires, and a small segment of a yellow wire had fallen off completely. This made no sense to me, as I had never accessed this part of my car before, and to see a piece of wire break off entirely was surprising. I've tried looking for guides on how to replace the AUX port, but all I've found are videos on how to install an entirely new AUX system in older models. The part I think I need to buy looks like this, but I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced a similar issue and done a repair. Any advice?
