Thanks!, I whas 'warned' that the cx3 is a small car but for me thats a pro, not a con
I am not the youngest anymore so when everything gets a bit smaller ( except my belly) I make no exception as far as my car is concerned.
Only thing that gets me worried a bit is the negative notifications about the reliability on the net. I come from Toyota and never ever had mechanical issues So I hope for the best.

Toyotas are very reliable, however, I do not think that Mazdas are far behind. I have 76,000 miles on my 2015 Mazda 3 and have only had basic maintenance done so far. I put winter tires on in the winter, so only 50,000 of the miles are on the original tires. I expect them to last another year or two. I have had some brake issues but I think that was related to bad pads installed by my trusted mechanic.
The vast majority of the problems I see on the forum are for older cars with significant mileage. I anticipate that after 200,000 miles or so, the maintenance will increase as it would in any quality vehicle.
I would also anticipate higher repair costs on an unique or untested technology. I would not buy a Mazda with a Rotary engine for a daily driver. I would recommend to anyone concerned about the cost of repairs, to avoid the first few years of the next generation Mazda engine to be released in a year or two. It may be great and completely reliable engine, however, it may be wise to hold off a few years until the reliability is tested.
What have you heard about the current generation of Mazdas that has you concerned?
