After testing out a Hyundai Tucson, Ford Escape and Mazda Tribute, I went for the Trib. I know the Ford and Mazda are basically the same. The Ford we drove was just very basic, no frills and OK, great thing was the low mileage.

Wife did not like the Tucson (felt like riding in a tin can and this came from after using a Neon!) [:'(]

Drove the Trib and just love it. Not loaded, 4 banger and 2WD, but thats all I really need. If I gotta pull something, I've got a Yukon for that.

I really like having the spare under the back. Gives me plenty of room for my system and still having seating for the 3 kids across.
