Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum because I bought a 2002 Mazda B2500 (UN8F42) 4 door, 4x4, 5sp, turbo diesel, with 260,000 km. I'm retired Air Force mechanic living in the Azores so parts are hard to find here on the island. My previous truck was a 1998 Ford Ranger, V6, 4x4 and she gave me no problems. My Jolene (Mazda) has a few issues but nothing major I can't handle and those things that come up that give me difficulty is another reason I joined the forum. There are a few things that are different from the US and European models but as you people know trucks, cars and motors are basically the same. In the future, I plan to put fender skirts, and a protective coating in the bed to protect it from rust and ruff loads. I would love to install a dump bed which I will make myself. It that every happens I will post pictures during and when it is completed. So far the only maintenance I've done is change oil, but a new clutch is in order. Hope to met others with similar trucks.
