Default Posting & you - New members

Thanks, that was certainly helpful. I picked up a well-used '91 RX-7 Convertible back in late Sept. Detroit was already getting real chilly so I got very little use of the car's best feature. Previous owners did however. And the condition gives new meaning to the term "RAG-top". Not only is the top bad, but the seats look like they've been attacked by wolverines!
Anyone have tips on where to acquire new seat upholstery either in Metro-Detroit or on the web???????? Recommendations are usually better than "cold calling". Seat kits are what I'm after. Seat frames & pads are in good shape. One guy quoted me $1,600 for new leather covers. (I know I can do better). He also said $900 for a new top. And the Targa is perfect!! Is he way out of line or...
I just turned up the volume in the headrest speakers as I drove away. Give me some perspective before I plunk down the cash. I have no point of reference since this is my 1st interior re-do.
Thanks, Martin.
