Default Mazda 2 2008 Cabin blower fan location.

The fan became noisy, sounds like some debris stuck I there. I cleaned out the cabin filter and the space but it still sounds the same.i was wondering if someone know where the fan or motor located. I guess it’s under the dash somewhere?

Blower fan removal is a right pain in the ****, almost easier to remove the dashboard.

Location is up behind the main heater box.

Assuming you're in Sunny Queensland, here's a diagram.

Oh Thanks for the quick replay. ****, I might just keep it as it is. With my mechanic knowledge this would take forever.

Here is the solution:

I've done it myself and it worked. No complicated disassembly, no special tools.

Hi mate, I'm in the process of doing this. My blower motor is completely dead, no air coming from tge vents at all. I replaced the resistor, can hear the compressor working and can feel cold air barely coming from the vents. I found a wrecked Mazda2 and took 2 hours to strip down the dash to get to this. As it was a wreck I pulled tge AC antifreeze pipes out and the AC head off and once I moved the clutch out of the way I got it out. I'm wondering as mine is an Auto if it would be easier to get in and out using your method. It's easy to see. It's just trying to find a way to get it out past those AC hoses.
