Default Looking to upgrade

I have recently purchased a gen 2 rx7. i am looking to do some simple upgrades to the engine. I would like tgo know what might be a simple and somewhat inexpensive, effective upgrade. and it also seems to be missing but has all new plugs and wires. If anybody has any advise please do share. Thanks.

i would say that a header and exhaust would be the most effective upgrade. racingbeat makes a really nice true dual set-up for the n/a rx7's. it is a bit pricy, but racingbeat really knows how to put together an exhaust for our cars. as for the miss, there is not much telling really. the ignition systems in the second gens are pretty awesome, so i wouldn't bet on a coil. you could check the compression as a place to start. if it feels only very slight, but perfectly steady, it may be getting bad compression on one of the apex seals. if it is really random, it may be a coil pack or a clogged catalytic converter.
