Default Key fob

Hello, my key fob for my Mazda 2 has broken... it’s a Siemens.. and the only “ after market “ keys I have seen are “ viston “ I think it’s called?? Can i swap keys? Also has anyone changed the boot button? As this is something I’m going to do.

Welcome to the forum Nathangreenw2103, I suspect that we will need additional information to help you. What year is your Mazda 2 and how is it broken. If it is the current key fob that Mazda has been using for the past few years, it seems that the battery can die after 2 years or so. It is easy and cheap to replace. I found a YouTube video and the replacement batteries on Amazon for around $5.00 for 5 batteries.

I don't have enough knowledge to make a suggestion on aftermarket replacements and compatibility. I would, however, start with a call to the service department at a local dealership. Before considering an aftermarket replacement I would want to know how much it would cost to get it from Mazda.

Good luck and welcome to the forum.
