Ahh I see lol. Now I get it. I am fairly new to forums and am from the UK so I am unfamiliar with a few of your terms. I am sure I will get there .

Yes my handling skills are fairly good, am capable of out running bigger and more powerful cars than mine purely because they are scared to go round corners .

The car must give a different perspective to the kind of person I am. I am not some boy racer with no skill and all mouth who thinks he is the best driver in the world, I know my limits but do have some skill. I have had a nice welcome to the forum and am finding it very interesting. Thanks to you both. I hope to remain in communication.

Those damn weird Brits:

hood = bonnet
truck = lorry
elevator = lift
gas = petrol
washroom/bathroom = w.c. (water closet) OR Loo
apartment = flat
cup cake = fairy cake
trunk = boot
crossing guard = lollypop man
policeman/cop = bobby/copper

for more: Differences between British English and American words (vocabulary)

Lol, some of these recent posts made me think of the ricer thread, but that's off topic.

I've always liked the MX6, a coupe that never goes out of style.

Haha to be fair some of those words I use the American term rather than the English ones you exampled there. For instance I always say truck, cup cake, policeman/cop, apartment and occasionally I will say hood.

It is a weird and wonderful world, but full of interesting things.
