Hi George, and welcome as our first member from Greece (that I am aware of) to Mazdaforum.
I believe what you have there is known a the Mazda6 here in the States, and one model year sooner than we got it too. The 2nd generation Mazda6 came here in '09, but the smallest engine here is the 2.5L gasoline/petrol engine.

if i buy a 2.5 here in greece i have to pay a lot of money,forbiden for my salary.

Until 1.8 the taxis are 200€,for a 2.5 maybe 800€.So i'm happy with my 1.8 mazda

I understand. You have a similar system as does the UK,then.

We have what is called a gas guzzlers tax here in the States for vehicles that get poor miles-per-gallon. It's a one-time charge when you buy a big, thirsty car, not like your year tax/registration system, but it can add up to a lot.
