I have a 2004 mazda 6 that I purchaced new.I am fixing to be out of factory warranty and have been looking for engine performance mods and cant find anything but cold air intakes.Does anyone know where to find any engine performance upgrades.Any info would be much appreciated.thanx.

 

Welcome to the Forum. Do you have the 4 or the 6cyl?

 

I have the 3.0L 5speed.I have already upgraded my exhaust,stereo,and wheel/tire and suspension.But having a time trying to find any engine mods.

 

I don't know too much about the 6 cyl except that it is basically a Ford Durotech design.
I read an R&T tech correspondancea while back where someone w/an MX-6 asked basically the same question of the MX-6/Probe, 6 cyl engineengine. The answer was thatMazda considered the 6 cyl a"mom & pop" car engine and that upgrades were few and far between. You may (or may not) be experiencing this same problem.
