So, I've just stolen my sister's old '91 Mazda 626. It sat in our driveway with a spark plug stuck in the head for three years. She just about sold it to a junk yard for $20! So I gave her $30 for it and pulled it into the garage finally. Anyhow, I've decided to rebuild the whole engine.
I need the experience, and if I can get a good daily driver for $30 plus the cost of a gasket set and maybe a rings set, then I've come out ahead!

I currently race and drive a '95 Saturn SL2. I've been looking at turbocharging it, but that would mean about 3 weeks of down time till finished, so I'm working on this mazda to give me a daily driver to replace the Saturn.

Anyhow, Glad to be here! I will probably post quite a lot, so look for me ^_^

Any tips and tricks you guys can pass on to me about my mazda, or rebuilding the engine are GREATLY appreciated!

I'm rebuilding it without a manual right now... Lets see how long that lasts :s

Btw, anybody know a good place to get some cheap, but ok-quality full gasket sets?
