Hey...new Rx78 to forum
Hey everyone,
So I just inherited a 1979 Rx7. It is a 5-speed with no AC, and a new Alpine stereo system. It was my dads and he bought it new in late 78. He went to go buy my mom a wedding ring, but the store was closed, and he saw this baby sitting on the lot and couldn't resist! It has been in my family ever since. Unfortunately, it needs a lot of work, but its running and I've been driving it several times a week. I'm debating restoring it to original, or dropping a 13B and a new tranny ...thoughts?
Anyway, I look forward to learning a lot from everyone and getting started on my new project car!

welcome. a 13b will only fit if you modify a few things, but itwill be a nice swap if you do it. i would recommend going with a fuel injected motor for reliability. i may have some turbo II electronics and wiring harness coming up for sale if you wanted to do a turbo swap.
