Default Hey, just bought my first Mazda.

Hey,

My name is Brian and I just bought a 2002 Mazda B4000 4x4 pickup. I know its mostly made by Ford, but hopefully you guys will still accept me here, lol. So far I really like it. Already, in the first week, I've had to pull two people out of the snow. (Been snowing like CRAZY recently in CO). It's great for off-road, but civil on the highway at the same time. Perfect balance for me, . I'm a little dismayed at the gas milage (15-18 mpg...), but its not much less than I was hoping for. The tranny blew in my last car at 156,000 miles, so with 60,000 miles on this one, I expect lots of good life out of it, .

Here's some pics of my new truck:

nice!!! welcome to the Mazda family! had a 99 ranger which is basically the same exept I had the 3.0 liter. and yes they are fun and tough little trucks, tranny went on it at about 180,000 miles, cost more than the truck was worth so away went the truck. only got stuck twice and pulled out many full size pick ups with a grin on my face!!!!

Haha, I know the feeling already, . A Chevy 2500 was sliding around all over the place and couldn't move up a hill any more (his truck was a 4x4, but his tires were bald). So I went around him, stopped and asked if he need any help. I think I hurt his pride a little cuz he said, "Nah, I'm good." and kept spinning his tires. I shrugged and said "alright, if your sure." and moved on, lol.

The tranny went at 180,000 miles? I'd be happy with 160,000; hope mine'll last that long, .
