Default Hello- New to me; 2007 Mazda 6

Hello everyone,

I'm new here; but not new to wrenching on cars. Recently- I inherited my father's 2007 Mazda 6. It is a 5 Speed, with only 103K miles on it. I've been wrenching on my own cars since 1997. I've been in the Saturn S-Series fold since then, and have owned 7 S-Series cars, and 1 Saturn Vue. This car is new to me; but I have the tools to work on it, when needed; and looking forward to stopping in here periodically.

What kinds of quirks do I need to be aware of; with the car? It is new to me; and I'm new to Mazda as well. This car was bought by my father- brand new back in 2007, and has all of the Bells and Whistles; as it is the Sport Touring Edition. It's a nice little car. I've driven it a few times; but since my father got sick, we had to take the car away from him; and the car is now titled and registered to me now.

Let me know what kinds of things I should be looking for... the car has been garage kept, by my father; and has only been driven roughly about 7000 miles in the past 2 years.

Looking forward to getting to know this car and being able to wrench on it, when needed. He was very good about maintenance on the car, and did regular maintenance on the car when it was needed.
