Hello all, I am working with an organization that provides disaster relief to the United States and foreign countries. I am currently attempting to help them find a replacement engine for a 2008 Mazda Premacy 20S. This is a JDM vehicle. It would be the Mazda5 in the U.S, however it does not appear to share the same engine. From the limited information I have it appears to have come with a 2.0L engine. The organization purchased this vehicle for their use in the Bahamas and unfortunately six weeks later the engine seized. Are there any people here that can assist me with finding a reputable and reliable source to obtain a used or remanufactured JDM engine. The Japanese market vehicles do not use a VIN, they use a chassis ID number which is not helping me much.

A quick bit of online research tells me its the LF series engine that's used in the Mazda 3 of the same year. Pretty common engine. Engine was also used in the base model 2 litre Mazda 6 range.
