Can anyone help with this?

My doors wont lock from the outside with the alarm fob or by key.

The open button on the fob seems to work o.k but the lock one flashes on the fob but nothing happens.
It developed the fault last week when the alarm went off randomly and since then hasn't allowed me to set the alarm or lock the doors.

Any ideas?

You could try the old stand-by of resetting the ECU?
Disconnect your battery for a few minutes, you might even connect the batt cable ends together, then reconnect and see if that helps.
That would be a first step.
