Default Disable panic button on fob?

Hi! I'm new to this forum, although I've had a 1996 Mazda B3000 pickup (rebadged Ford Ranger) since 2000 or so. I just bought a 2014 Mazda3, and that's what prompted me to join this forum.

And the reason I wanted to join was that I've now accidentally set off the 2014 Mazda3's beeping horn alarm just by having the fob in my pocket. Yesterday, I was at the kitchen sink and the alarm went off. Apparently, my leg was pressing against the front of the sink cabinet and this somehow activated the panic button on the fob.

Is there any way to disable the panic button? The other functions on the fob are fine... the panic button is the only problem.

Thanks for any help you may be able to offer!

Bob

No way that i know of. Maybe a tiny dab of superglue on the edge of that button?
