When i turn my car on in idle the Rpm gauge is sitting on 3000rpm and keeps going up.Anyone got any ideas can i reset this or do i need to see mechanic

If that was in his original post, I did not see it? So sorry to the OP . I think I tend to be overly bugged from the numerous numbers of new as well older members that ask for help and we have to first respond with what I posted to get the vehicle information.

To the OP your problem is not DIY reasonably diagnosable, and I recommend that you seek either a Mazda dealer or a service shop that list experience with diesel engine service specifically.
