Default Backwards battery

Ok first timer. Quick version so I don't waste y'all's time. I left my lights on and battery died. Hooked jumper cables backwards. And yes I realized it right after the firework display. I fried my battery so I replaced it. I blew main fuse - replaced it. STILL can't get it to start. It's turns over. It wants to start but won't. I am hell bent on fixing this myself since it was such a foolish mistake but don't know what to check next. I've checked ALL fuses in both fuse boxes and all good. I heard mention of a fuseable link??? Can anyone guide me in the right direction? Thanks in advance

Check each every single fuse in both the interior fuse box & under bonnet fuse box. There maybe fuses as part of / built into the battery terminal.
