I have an airbag error code flashing 42 on my 2004 MPV. Can anyone help me here.

 

I had the same error - 4 flashes, pause, 2 flashes - took it to dealer and got diagnosis, said that I had to replace a faulty front crash sensor.

My brother took apart the front of my car, but could not find any kind of sensor.

Anyone out there know where the front crash sensor is located on a 2005 mazda mpv? We're starting to think that there is no sensor at all...

Found the sensor - it was in the middle of the inner front frame of the car, just beneath the upper radiator hose, fully exposed. Don't know how we missed it...
