Plastic red piece that my shifter doesn’t have.


I’m not a great at fixing things and my MAZDA Dealership didn’t know 100% but on the shifter of a Manual Transmission, the ball at the end of a 1988 B2200 has a slit in it, everything I have pulled up showed a plastic piece needing to be in it to hold the ring’s, my shifter didn’t have one. Should it have one, if so anyone know the technical name to it.
