2006 6i with a 2.3 non turbo makes a ticking noise only when I am driving not sitting or if I rev it up. no one has been able to tell what this noise is. please try to help

You are not gonna get a real solid answer.
Injector, piston slap, connecting rod, exhaust deflector heat shield.
