I don’t like it and want it to stop. The Center High Mounted Stop Lamp (CHMSL) flashes a few times when I first push on the brake pedal. I assume this is an aftermarket thing the PO put on, because as far as I know Mazda didn’t have an exemption from FMVSS 108, which essentially prohibits flashing brake lights.

Has anyone seen or know of an aftermarket device that would do this? I’d like to know how to get rid of this behavior.
