Hi all,

Im set on buying a mazda 6 as they seem to be excellent cars. However, as i have been looking into them i have read about possible rust issues in the rear wheel arches, which i am now looking out for.

I was wondering if there are any more common faults/areas i should deffos check before buying a mazda 6?

Ha, I have that exact same problem with my rear wheel arches, the result of snow and ice packing in front of the rear wheels. Still, I really like the car.

I suppose this is only an issue where you have a lot of snow.

I have had my '04 wagon since '06 and I love it. Very comfortable, reliable and good looking, except for that rust that I am going to have to fix.

One other fault on mine is that the radio indicator info bar does not light up consistently, sometimes its perfect, other times certain parts are half dead, such as the CD track numeral which is also the radio station numeral.
