Ok.. so, this is quite a long story but I'll try to make it fast and not leave anything out.
I have a 2004 mazda 6 2.3L. It has 157xxx on it and ran great about a year ago. Me and my wife were on leave in Indiana (I'm in the Navy) and when we left to go back to washington DC (where I'm stationed) we got in a terrible accedent and she totaled my car in Ohio so her parents drove us her car from home and we drove that all the way from Ohio to DC. No problems. But after driving it here it stared acting up.. I would turn the car on and all was fine until I put it in drive. As soon as I put it in drive the AT light came on with the check engine light and the car shifted straight to 3rd gear and wouldn't go under that, it would still shirt up to 4th and then back down to 3rd but never under 3rd. so I read up and i kept seein trans soleniods so I put a diagnostic reader on it and it came up shift soleniod C so I looked online and found what I thought were the right ones but actually they made it worse.. I couldn't even drive the car any more. I bought the wrong soleniods. So I didn't mess with it or ever start it up for about 6 months and then about I week ago I broke down and bought the full soleniod kit. Well that fixed it back to the way it was before I put the other soleniods in it but it still does the same stuff as before. My buddy used to be a mazda tech and he said to try and disconnect the negative battery cable and rub it on the positive battery post and the basically resets the car and I did and it did reset it but as soon as I put it in drive it went back to AT and check engine light with all the same effects as before. And then he said to try and replace the turbine speed sensor becuase that going oUT could cuase the problems and so I did but that didn't work ether.. I honestly can't tell if it made it worse or better becuase now while drivin it will switch between 3rd and the AT light being on, to a different gear (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th ) and the at light going off. It does it really fast though like a continues flicker. And if I stop at a stop light it deisel now I don't get it lol.. any help?

Take it to Mazda for a full diagnostic check, their diagnostic tool has much wider range of codes & diagnostic power than any aftermarket tool. They also have the factory workshop manual to read thru, much more detail than any other manuals out there.
I know they are more expensive but they have full manufacture backup.
