I have a 07 Mazda 6, my at light came on. It has problems shifting in the 2nd and 4th gears. When I brought it to the Mazda dealership, they said I would need a new transmission. However, I'm not entirely sure they are a trustworthy place, as the guy was trying to buy my vehicle right there.

Is there something else I should look into? Suggestions?

 

Take it to a independent transmission shop for a 2nd opinion.
