Im looking to do alot of mods to my 03 mazda 6 auto tranny but idk what it is rated and when i should start thinking about upgrading it? if someone has an answer it would be much appreiciated

 

i've driven mine up to 15lbs of boost on the track....so just let me know if you have questions

lentechautomatics.com has valvebodies that are a great help. and a tranny cooler never hurts either.

 

thats helpful but i noticed you drove a 6i and i have a 6s and mine is also the semi/suto are the transmissions rated differently cause of the engine differences or are they the same...your car is pushing out alot of hp for being the i is it on the stock tranny?

 

yeah, stock tranny on mine.

if you want to upgrade yours, cp-e is the only game in town. my roommate was running 245hp on the strip with his 6s with nitrous setup and he didn't have any issues. he's since put in the valvebodies and the tranny cooler and a turbo....though hasn't pushed it yet. so life of the tranny is up in the air.
