Default top speed

I got my 6 up to 115-120 mph saturday and it seemed to wanna keep goin. it's the 2.3. anyone know the top speed it'll go? btw, it handled great at that speed

It is probably electronically limited to 118mph like it's sister the Mazda3. Check the owners manual. It may say so.

They are elec limited to 120mph.

Just be prepared for it when you push the limits. It can be pretty disconcerting when the engine cuts out until you drop back down below the limiter. The first time it happened to me, it scared the s##t out of me!

haha! that happened to me when I went 110 I think in my mom's cavalier a few yrs ago. I freaked out for a minute. but she doesn't have that car anymore

I'm sure it can be done electronically. But what would be the point?
Unless chasing down Bugatti Verons' or Porsche 911 GT3s' or something.
Wouldn't that be silly (and dangerous?)

More so just to understand how it all works. Would like to turn it into a track car, but the type of racing I do, I don't think I'd ever hit those speeds.

Even if you disabled it, there would still be a drag limit at around 140. You hit that "wall of air" at a certain point and the car just isn't much fun at that point.
