Default Throttle body limp mode

Guys, last week i wrote about my problem with my 2004 6s with 120000 miles going into limp mode and then running fine after restart of the engine. With code P2110 coming up and researching on the internet it looks as though I may have a bad throttle body. I would like to know if anyone else has had that problem from a bad throttle body and then I also have another silly question. While looking the car over today to see what kind of a job replaceing the thing would be, I noticed an air hose coming from the bottom side of the air box (under the air filter), that is clamped to the top radiator hose ( I think just so it doesn't move), that has what looks to be some type of a plastic check valve in line. Well the plastic part has a white side and a green funnel shape side and the rubber hose has deterierated and broken. I know it sounds funny, but I cannot find what it attaches to. There seems not to be another open hose anywhere. If you can please let me know what this is and where it goes.

Thanks for the help again,

jj

I believe there were some slight variations. However, on an '05, one end of the hose attaches to a nipple on your air box. If you're looking down at the airbox, the nipple is at the 7 o'clock position, about 1" from the fan control module.

The hose then ducks under the throttle body and attaches to the intake manifold just beside the EGR valve with a 90 degree fitting.

Again, at least on an '05....
