I have a 2005 6 hatchback without the Bose audio upgrade. I would like to replace the speakers, but I need to know if 6.5" speakers will fit. When I go to Crutchfield's website (which is generally a trusted site), there is a spot to check which speakers will fit my car. When I choose the 2005 6 with the Bose option, it says 6.5" speakers will fit. When I choose the 2005 6 without the Bose option, it says 6.5" speakers will NOT fit. Does anyone know for sure if this is true? It seems strange that the door will handle different speakers depending on what speaker systems they left the factory with, but then again maybe there are two different door types.

Also, as an aside, does anyone know for sure if oval spekers distort at higher levels? Is it better to get round 5.25" speakers or oval 6x8" speakers?
