Default Satallite radio hook up

i just a bought a 2005 mazda 6 gt. i got sirius satallite radio that i want to put into my car. There is no aux output on the front, however there is a SAT button, which i am assuming is for satallite radio. I called the dealer and they said that it cant be hooked up. Just curious if it is possible to hook my radio though my exisiting interface with out using the fm transmitter.

thanks

Default RE: Satallite radio hook up

yes you can...but its tricky!

that port in the back of your stereo can be used to create an AUX input but you have to purchase the right connection for it. generally, several aftermarket companies have created a cable interface that uses the "SAT" port to connect your Ipod...AND some of these connection cablescreate an AUXinput as well.....

start here www.mp3yourcar.com they usually have two different cablesne for JUST an Ipod and another that is fora Ipod AND has an AUX input.....good luck!
